World Championship Gumbo Cookoff

Gumbo is a pièce de résistance in Southern Louisiana, so it’s no surprise the World Championship Gumbo Cookoff calls Iberia Parish home. Every year, on the second weekend in October, the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce hosts the cookoff in Bouligny Plaza on New Iberia’s historic and award winning Main Street. Hunt Slonem Exhibit at Bayou Teche Museum

The Bayou Teche Museum in New Iberia is excited to announce the unveiling of an exhibit of original art by internationally recognized artist, Hunt Slonem. "Bayou, Birds and Butterflies" will feature several paintings from Slonem's Albania plantation home in Jeanerette, as well as some from other museums and private collections.
