The Bayou Teche Museum organized during its annual gala a dinner prepared by local restaurants. There, we had the chance to see some people dressed up like characters of famous author James Lee Burke in honor of the Dave Robicheaux Hometown Literary Festival, which will be held in April in New Iberia. Next, the dinner was followed by an auction to raise funds for the museum.

Bayou Teche Museum also unveiled two new exhibits: one about the Saga of the Acadians, composed of wonderful paintings of George Rodrigue, which describe the arrival of the Acadians in Louisiana; the other about the Civil War, based on the research of historian Shane Bernard.
