The Tabasco Factory on Avery Island proposes to its visitors a new tour of its factory, with a lot of exhibits and a self-guided tour of the different steps of the Tabasco’s production.

Next, we visited the Green House, which is a place where the pepper used for the sauce grow, then the place where the barrels of Tabasco are stocked, an exhibit about the salt mine of Avery Island and one about how the barrels are made. We could also see the factory employees at work.

After the visit, we went to the Tabasco Country Store and then to 1868, a restaurant that proposes great local food.
