The new market pavilion and dock is located at 605 S. Railroad in Delcambre. The ribbon cutting for the grand opening will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 6. The official opening will be followed by the farmers market until 4 p.m.
There will be free live performances including acoustic Cajun music by the Melancon, Thibodeaux & Bellard Trio until 4 p.m. Then the Babineaux Sisters will entertain until 7 p.m. followed by the Beau Young Band until 10 p.m.
The Delcambre Seafood & Farmers Market offers local, just-picked produce, wild-caught Delcambre Direct seafood, and homemade food and farm products. It was recently selected as one of the 101 Best Farmers Markets in the country, ranking as #59.
