March 8-15, 2025. Annual week-long juried Plein Air competition featuring artists from around the country who are able to paint in seven parishes within Acadiana.
New Iberia Holiday Vendor & Craft Event
This event supports the New Iberia recreation department. There will be plenty of shopping, delicious food trucks and activities for the kids along with many home business, arts and crafts booths as well as sweets and treats.
New Iberia Beneath the Balconies
Series of theatrical presentations and musical performances on select balconies along New Iberia’s award-winning Main Street. Performances start at Shadows-on-the-Teche (317 E. Main St.) at 1 p.m. Bring lawn chair. Before the event, enjoy food and music on the grounds of the Shadows from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tailgating Cook-off
A family fun day with live music, cooking competition, cornhole tournament, arts and craft vendors and fun jumps for the kids. Come out and sample the best tailgating food around and watch a great game of cornhole.
Tour du Teche Canoe Race
Annual 135-mile canoe, kayak and pirogue race on Bayou Teche with local culture and flavor featuring nightly festivals at each stop. Held the first full weekend in October (Fri-Sun).
LA Sugar Cane 4-H Livestock Show and Sale
4-H students compete in youth livestock shows. Livestock auction is Saturday at 2 p.m.

Symphony Sunday in the Park
The Iberia Cultural Resources Association presents the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, 3 p.m., in special free outdoor performances under the oaks. Bring your picnic lunch.
