New Iberia Holiday Vendor & Craft Event

This event supports the New Iberia recreation department. There will be plenty of shopping, delicious food trucks and activities for the kids along with many home business, arts and crafts booths as well as sweets and treats and more.  

Beignets & Beats

Cajun breakfast jam celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Books Along the Teche Literary Festival, where you can eat, sip, and dance to the live music of Terry Huval while enjoying a classic Southern brunch.  

Swamp Sounds: A Swamp Pop Revival

The evening kicks off with Cajun dance lessons led by Britlyn Delahoussaye, followed by a Cajun dance competition. At the same time, the Grammy-nominated Revelers provide live music starting at 6:30 pm, including a selection of songs in French that honor Louisiana’s rich Francophone heritage.  

Great Southern Writer Symposium

The 2026 Great Southern Writer is Rick Bragg. The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and acclaimed author, joins moderator Jan Risher to illuminate the heart, history, and craft of Southern storytelling.  

A Novel Evening

A first-ever happy hour with the authors under the moss-draped live oak trees will provide a more relaxed atmosphere to converse with festival authors. Marcelle Bienvenu, celebrated chef, will conduct a Cajun cooking demo.
