Every Thursday. Celebrate our Cajun culture and improve your French speaking skills regardless of your level of French. Additionally, enjoy conversations with francophones and francophiles who visit New Iberia from all over the world as well as students in the French Immersion setting at North Lewis Elementary. Vive le francais!  

L’Acadian Art Guild Fall Exhibit

Oct. 7 – Nov. 29. As You Like It, fall exhibit by the L’Acadian Art Guild featuring a group of artists’ best work will be on display. Most art is for sale. Open library hours.  

Sounds of the Season

Always the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Free Christmas concert by the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra presented by the Iberia Cultural Resources Association, featuring familiar Christmas songs as well as classical selections. Bring the family to enjoy Christmas music and see Santa.  

GLC Farmers Market

Local farmers selling produce, plants, honey, homemade pies or any item made/produced locally. Grass-fed beef, pork and lamb are also available at the meat market during this time. The market also keeps produce in the GLC Farm Store during the week.

Delcambre Main Street Christmas Parade

Main Street Parade with Santa Claus, marching bands and dance groups. It will begin on W.  Main Street at the corner of Saunier Dr. and ends at the Shrimp Festival Building.  

Queen City Christmas Parade

Bayou Traditions Inc. will present the annual Downtown New Iberia Christmas parade. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. 100,000+ lights have been installed along the parade route, which runs from Lee Street to Jefferson Street. There will be Christmas floats, dance schools and band performances along with plenty of Christmas throws.
