Delcambre Shrimp Festival
Delcambre, LA~The Delcambre Shrimp Festival will be August 13-17, 2008 at the Shrimp Festival Building on Main Street. Queen contest, Fisherman's Mass "Blessing of the Fleet", Carnival, Shrimp Cook-Off, music, dancing, and much more. Lydia, LA~The Lydia Cajun Food Fest will be September 12-13, 2008 at the Lydia Park. Friday Night Live Music, dancing and food. Saturday Food Fest, a variety of great foods, music, dancing, arts and crafts... fun for the whole family.

Family Fun Day and Poker Run
(New Iberia, LA) A Family Fun Day and Poker Run will be held Sunday, July 27, 8:00am--6:00pm, at Weeks Park in Lydia to benefit Seth Ramsey, 6, who suffers from a rare form of kidney failure, known as FSGS. Seth is on a transplant list after having both his kidneys removed. The benefit will include a motorcycle Poker Run, with registration from 8:00am--10:00am. Entertainment will include music, games, raffle, red beans and rice, hamburgers, po-boys and refreshments. Bayou Teche Museum "A Night at the Museum"
New Iberia, LA~A Night at the Bayou Teche Museum will held on July 25, 2008, from 5pm-7pm located at the Sliman Theater, 129 East Main Street. New Iberia, LA~The New Iberia Fourth of July Parade will be July 4, 2008, on Main Street at 7pm and fireworks display at 7:30pm.
